The album comes a full seven years on from their first single release

Bicep's self-titled debut album will be out on Ninja Tune on 1 September, and the Belfast duo have shared the album's closing cut Aura online.

Rising to fame around the turn of the decade via their Feel My Bicep blog and the accompanying club night and record label, Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson sit today firmly esconced in the upper branches of the house and techno tree, with a packed DJ schedule and releases under the belt for imprints such as KMS, Aus Music and 50Weapons as well as their own label. For their first full-length, though, they've opted to sign with Coldcut's long-running Ninja Tune.

"For us, it's important to be part of a label that looks broadly at music," explains McBriar, with Ferguson adding, "We felt no restrictions at Ninja to be pigeonholed." Accordingly, we're told to expect an album that touches on house, techno, electro and Italo disco.
