Other artists scheduled to play the new club include Martin Garrix and Oliver Heldens
Following the news a couple of weeks ago that Space will reopen as Hï Ibiza this summer, it was announced today that South African house superstar Black Coffee will be taking over Saturdays at the venue from 3 June until the end of the season on 30 September.
It was announced last week that Black Coffee and Uner would be among the first artists to play the new venue, but the fact that Black Coffee will there for the full 18 weeks was only made public today. It will be the first Ibiza residency that Black Coffee - real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo - has held, and he will be curating the 18 Saturday night line-ups as well as simply headlining them.
In a statement to the press, Black Coffee said: "Since the start of my career, I've been driven by the desire to share my taste in music and expose the world to the beauty of South African dance music. I believe that Hï Ibiza is the perfect place to do that. I regard Ibiza as the capital of the dance music world, and I'm truly honoured to be part of the continuing legacy of the island."
Other artists who have been confirmed to play Hï Ibiza this summer include Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens, wAFF and Tube & Berger. Details are still quite scarce, though, so we'll tell you more when we know more. You can also keep an eye on Hï Ibiza's social media channels yourself, of course - find them on Facebook and Twitter, or at their own website.
