UK trio Dexcell keep things nice n' smooth for BCee's label

BCee's ever-reliable Spearhead Records serve up a liquid funk four-tracker that sees UK trio Dexcell - AKA Dave Wilson, Sammy Stabile and Adam Smart - getting the remix treatment from some of their contemporaries.

Technimatic's rub of Scattered Memories is up first, a sweet blend of heavyweight bass and rollin' beats with delicate ivories work and a full male soul vocal from Pat Fulgoni. Next comes Vanguard Project's remix of Running, a slightly poppier, fem-vocalled affair. Anile's take on the male-voiced Without You is sparse, steppy and almost garage-y to start before bringing some serious bass pressure, while the EP closes out with the Charlotte Haining VIP of Closer feat Champion, which marries the sweet female vocal to some proper filth in the drums department.

Some nice variety on offer here, but it's Without You and Scattered Memories that get my vote.
