Glitterbox are making a documentary

'Where Love Lives' will be released later this summer

The film explore's dance music's role as a safe space for marginalised individuals

Glitterbox have announced their first foray into documentary film-making.

Due to be released before the end of summer, Where Love Lives looks at the role dance music and club culture have to play in providing a safe space and a sense of belonging for people from marginalised communites, including LGBT+ individuals and people of colour. The film includes interviews with Kathy Sledge [pictured], Honey Dijon, Defected/Glitterbox boss Simon Dunmore, The Galley legend Nicky Siano, John 'Jellybean' Benitez and many more.

Director Brilliams said: "I’ve always been fascinated by the positive effects of music and the communities that grow around it. Since the inception of dance music, dancefloors have been rich ground for community, and an incredible representation of cultural identity and self-expression."
