The UK garage/bass music-flavoured 'You & I' features a female vocal from The Rise

A new release here that's well worth checking if you like your house on the bass-y side.

A joint effort between DJ Roog of Holland's soulful house heroes Hardsoul and UK producer Phil Dolman, who's known for his work with the likes of Low Steppa, You & I features a suitably hefty UKG-ish bass throb, which it marries to a sweet female vocal supplied by The Rise. It's accompanied by a Hardsoul & Dennis Quin mix (in Extended and Radio versions) that smooths off some of the rough edges, plus a stripped and bouncy Ill Phil Dub.

With Hardsoul approaching 'veteran' status these days, this release that shows they can embrace more contemporary sounds is perhaps a wise move... but more importantly, this will move bodies on dancefloors without a doubt.
