Label regulars Harlem Knights join forces with Hungary's Re-Bound

Some predictably high-quality deep house tackle here from the ever-dependable Haute Musique, as label boss BiG AL and regular collaborator Levente Szabo, collectively known as Harlem Knights, team up with Hungarian producer Re-Bound.

I'm Gonna itself is up first, a gentle lil' deep house groover centred around a treated female vocal sample ("I'm sort of famous, I'm sort of [something indecipherable]"), a nagging organ riff and light, rollling beats. S'good, but for me it's just pipped to the post by the accompanying Marco Grandi Remix, which is bassier, spacier and built to keep the dedicated deep house floors moving through till dawn. Super Snooper, which follows, is a pacier cut, quite light on its feet like the original I'm Gonna but underpinned by a hefty, funked-up bassline, while completing the EP is Walker, a hypnotic, looping, unhurried affair with sub-aquatic sounds and a mellow, melodious vibe overall.

For this reviewer, Haute Musique seldom put a foot wrong, and they certainly haven't here.
