This year's festival takes place at Norfolk's Houghton Hall on 6-9 August

The weekend of 6-9 August sees Craig Richards' boutique Houghton festival returning to Houghton Hall in Norforlk, and the first wave of artists was announced today.

Some of the bigger names on offer include Ricardo Villalobos, Helena Hauff, Ben UFO, Optimo, Hunee, Seth Troxler, Jane Fitz, Pearson Sound, Andrew Weatherall, Joy Orbison, Powder, Midland, Four Tet, Calibre, Sonja Moonear, Gerd Janson, Cobblestone Jazz, Horse Meat Disco, Ivan Smagghe, Radioactive Man, Tristan Da Cunha and Magda, while there's room on the bill, too, for plenty of more leftfield, underground and experimental artists, from UK jazz outfit the Elliot Galvin Trio to dubtronica specialist Pole.

This marks Houghton return to the festival fray after last year's event had to be cancelled due to bad weather, so expect them to be pulling out all the stops, particularly with the sculptures and art installations that form a key part of the Houghton experience.

"Last August, mother nature denied us a big dance," said Richards. "The extraordinary circumstances and the learning curve that followed have only deepened our commitment to making this festival the unique celebration of music, art and good times that it is. Suffice to say that this year's dance is one of the most anticipated events of 2020 [as we] continue our quest to present music, art, food, drink and sculpture in their finest light. "

Tickets for the festival are on sale now, currently priced £190 for a weekend ticket with camping/camper van and car parking passes sold separately.

For the full line-up and further information, see the festival's own website.
