Pola & Bryson take care of remix duties, in honour of Audioporn's 10th birthday
Shimon's Audioporn label is 10 years old this year, and as part of their birthday celebrations they're reissuing this liquid funk gem from 2012, with Pola & Bryson (AKA Jack Higgins and Harry Bryson, and known for their work on Shogun Audio and Spearhead) supplying the obligatory remix.
Lost was a pretty chilled-out kinda track to start with, even within the liquid funk arena. Surprisingly, though, Pola & Bryson still manage to take it down an even deeper, even more laidback n' dreamy path. They don't flip the script too much - after all, the reason it's getting reissued at all is that it's one of Audioporn's best-selling tracks of all time, so if it ain't broke, etc! But the classical piano line from the original features more prominently here, while the bass is dialled back a notch or two; Grimm's soulful male vocal remains in full effect.
For dedicated lovers of liquid sounds, this is pretty much an essential purchase; for wider audiences, it's a welcome reminder of just how fragile and beautiful D&B can be!
