The album features 19 ambient/downtempo/chill-out tracks built with meditation in mind
The next album from ambient/downtempo legend Kenneth Bager will be Music For Mindfullness, a 19-track collection compiled by the Music For Dreams label boss and designed to aid meditation.
Music featured on the album comes largely (but not exclusively) from artists that are already associated with the highly regarded chill-out label, including Troels Hammer, The Swan & The Lake, Jacob Gurevitsch, Dalholt & Langkilde and Bonnie & Klein. Eight of the tracks are brand new to the collection, and as stated above, it's all been put together with a view to serving as a sonic accompaniment to mindfulness meditation, a practice that involves focusing on the sounds, sights and smells that are directly around you right now. With 'proper' science increasingly recognising the benefits of mindfulness, and its ever-widening application in schools, prisons, business and sports, the timing for such an album couldn't be more appropriate.
The album's out on Music For Dreams (naturally) on 23 June, but in the meantime you can enjoy this mini-mix by Bager himself. Now breathe deep and relax...
