On-U Sound

Pioneering UK label set up by Adrian Sherwood in 1981 and still going strong in 2016. Over the years the label has embraced a range of styles, from punk-funk and industrial, via reggae and dub, to jungle and dubstep. Motto: "Disturbing the comfortable, comforting the disturbed." Key On-U Sound artists include Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Tackhead, Dub Syndicate, African Head Charge, New Age Steppers, Singers & Players and Bim Sherman.
