Also on the bill for 6 May are Joey Negro, Danny Krivit, John Morales and many more
The first wave of acts have been announced for the Liverpool Disco Festival 2017, which will be taking place at the Baltic Triangle in Liverpool on Saturday 6 May.
Liverpool Disco Festival was born in October 2016, and is a joint venture between local promoters Hustle, and the team behind Suncébeat and the late, lamented Southport Weekender. It's not being explicitly promoted as a successor to the latter, but being just 20 miles down the road and having a similar music policy, it's kinda hard not to see it that way!
Headlining this second edition of the festival will be Zanzibar legend Tony Humphries, playing a four-hour set. Also appearing are (deep breath) Joey Negro, Jellybean Benitez, Danny Krivit, John Morales, Nicky Siano, Mr Scruff, DJ Spen, Karizma, Lenny Fontana, Graeme Park, Jamie 3:26, Rahaan, Red Greg, Mark Seven, Get Down Edits, Neil Pierce, Craig Smith, Ronnie Herel, Terry Jones, Andy Davies and former iDJ gear editor Paul Morrissey, as well as a host of more up-and-coming names, while live performances will come from D-Train and Ultra Nate.
And that's just the first wave of acts! For lovers of soulful house, US garage and honest-to-goodness disco this looks like being unmissable, especially given the presence of so many first-generation legends such as D-Train, Benitez, Morales and Siano. If you agree, then tickets are available now, starting at £45. Click here to get yours.
