He joins the likes of Loco Dice, Dubfire and Nicole Moudaber in championing Hawtin's mixer

Louie Vega has become the latest superstar DJ to officially endorse Richie Hawtin and Andy Rigby-Jones's PLAYdifferently MODEL 1 mixer.

The Master At Work, who's always been famed for his love of rotary mixers until now, joins a list of DJ 'ambassadors' for PLAYdifferently that includes Dubfire, Chris Liebing, Nicole Moudaber, Loco Dice, Fabio Florido, Matador, Paco Osuna and Hito.

Announcing the news, Vega - who was recently nominated for a GRAMMY award for his album Starring... XXVIII - said: "The MODEL 1 is a great sounding mixer and works like magic at my gigs. All DJs who are in the club recognise how good the room sounds when I'm playing on this mixer. Then they want it too!!! There is so much you can do with it creatively, I'm having fun with it. PLAYdifferently MODEL 1 is the mixer for the future, get on this spaceship early and get yours! Hopefully in the future PLAYdifferently will create a rotary version and I can help in that creation!"

Vega has also put together a mix to commemorate the new partnership, mixed entirely on the MODEL 1, which you can hear below. The tracklist is as follows:

1. Story Teller - Ron Trent
2. Getting Deeper - Louie Vega & Joe Claussell
3. The Beat - David Harness & Blaze
4. Uncle Sam [Louie Vega Remix] - Jet
5. Too Much Information - Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra [Laolu Edit]
6. Dream Catcher - Mikki Afflick
7. Time Marches On - Mike Dunn Vs Jungle Wonz
8. I Can’t Believe I Loved Her - Peven Everett
9. I Choose You [Louie Vega Remix] - 3 Winans Brothers ft Karen Clark Sheard
