UK duo Mindek come to DJ SKT's Stashed Music label

Mindek are a duo that have individually been involved in the dance music scene for 15 years, and are starting 2018 with a bang with this two-track release on DJ SKT’s label Stashed Music.

First up is Snailer itself, which starts with a tribal-sounding drum loop. This is then added to with female vocal calls and a hi-hat, and builds as it progresses with the addition of a large kick, messed-up male vocals and subtle hoover-esque synth stabs. The feel of the track is tribal tech-house, which is borne out with the types of instrumentation used and the raw drum machine sounds which emanate from your speakers - all sounding very rough-edged and very danceable to.

The second track is called Rule Breaker and isn't as in-your-face as the first one, with a kick, snare and hi-hat intro joined by a spoken male vocal and a funky bassline. It's not as instant as the first track, yet will still drag the most jaded of clubbers out of the bar area and back onto the dancefloor where they belong.

I will no doubt be playing both cuts myself over the next few months, so next time you're having a download binge, check this EP out as both cuts are worth a few minutes of your time.
