South London's Ru Goddard comes to the Tuscany-based house label

South Londoner Ru Goddard has been making deep house records under the name Neon Transmission since 2018. One look at his picture, though, suggests that Neon Transmission may not be his first trip around the production block… which might explain why this single-track release sounds so good!

Not that Endless Eyes particularly does anything that a thousand deep house records before it haven't, you understand. There's no great reinvention of the wheel going on here, no shattering of paradigms… just five minutes and 52 seconds of deep, dubby house groove centred around a chunky echoed b-line and crisp 4/4s, with various atmospheric, percussion and synth sounds coming in and out of the mix along the way to keep your attention.

But not every record needs to be a whole new genre all by itself, does it? Sometimes it's just all about the execution – and if you're looking for trad-style deep house done properly this week, then this would be a very good place to start.
