The young German producer has had two previous EP's on Steve Bug's iconic label
Steve Bug's Poker Flat Recordings are to release Moments Of Truth, the debut album by German melodic techno wunderkind Tim Engelhardt, on 5 May.
Trained as a pianist from a young age, Englehardt has been putting out a consistent stream of EPs since 2012 - when he was a mere 14 years old - on labels such as Playmusic, Ostwind Records, Manual Music and, most recently, Sincopat.
Two of those EPs - 2015's Everything Is All You Have and Enigmatism - found a home on Poker Flat, and it's to Poker Flat that he returns for his debut artist full-length. Having heard the 10-track album today, we can confidently say that fan's of Engelhardt's brand of finely crafted, melodic and often quite epic techno and abstract electronica will be more than happy with it.
Tim himself says of the album: "If I had to describe the album, it would be like this: it’s mainly songs that I recorded at night, they are memories of deep, honest and vulnerable moments where everything around me disappeared and I was just absolutely lost."
