The full EP is out tomorrow (7 October) on Pangea Recordings
Today, iDJ is delighted to bring you the world premiere of the Ryan Sullivan Remix of Chemtrails by Audioglider. The track comes from the EP of the same name, which is out tomorrow on Pangea Recordings.
Based in London, Audioglider's real name is Roberto Sodano, and he's been a lover of electronic music since discovering the likes of Kraftwerk and The Human League as an 80s teenager. His own production career dates back to the 90s, when he first released music under the names Backdoor Man, Crystal, Pastaboy and Autovelox before settling on Audioglider. These days, he describes the music he makes as "downtempo, spaced-out nu-disco/prog/shoegaze fusion".
Three mixes of Chemtrails make up the EP. Sodano's original is a percussion-led progressive house affair topped with an uncredited, looping female vocal, and comes accompanied by a matching instrumental, but it was the remix from Triplefire Music boss Ryan Sullivan that caught our ears the most, as the South African producers opts for a more driving 4/4 beat and cranks up the dramatic synths, making for an eyes-down affair tailormade for 3am prog floors.
