The single's out on Higher Ground today, accompanied by a matching dub
We've got more nostalgic, rave-y vibes for today's exclusive track premiere, as iDJ brings you a first chance to hear Mark Boom's Breaks Vocal Mix of Adelphi Music Factory's My People, which is out today on Higher Ground.
Adelphi Music Factory are a production trio from Sheffield, UK, who are perhaps best known to date for their “gospel house trilogy” (Javelin, Feel Right Now and Salvation). More recent offerings have included the Joy & Fantasy EP, remixes for Hot Chip and the piano-houser Uprising – not to mention their most recent single My People (Love Can Live Forever).
Now, the track gets handed over to UK techno legend Mark Broom, who surprises with two breakbeat- and piano-led rubs that owe more than a little to the classic rave sound of the early 90s. There are Breaks Vocal and Breaks Dub mixes to choose from on the full release, but it's the Breaks Vocal Mix that we're showcasing today. See what you think…
