Track comes from the 'Serpentine Servitude' EP, out on 16 April
Our second great track premiere this week comes from Baltimore native Maeghan Donovan, better known to the techno community as pulsewidthmod. Original Sin is the first track from her new EP Serpentine Servitude, which is out on Kero's label Detroit Underground on 16 April.
Uncompromising Detroit-inspired techno is the order of the day on Serpentine Servitude generally, which we're told was made using just a very small selection of studio hardware. No Wrong In Nature is dark, glitchy and thunderous, The Fruit Of Life foregrounds shimmering analogue synth sounds, Liar From Above is a peak-time dancefloor assault weapon, The Power Of The Negative brings the acid and The Gods Of Eden closes out the album on a foreboding, dystopian note. But our favourite track is album opener Original Sin - a fast-paced but still decidedly groovy slice of classic Motor City techno.
