Equipped with motorised jog wheels, the pro-quality unit will sell for £1,299
Rane has announced a new Serato controller called Rane ONE. Equipped with 7.2-inch motorised jog wheels complete with slipmats and 7-inch control discs for that ultra-realistic vinyl feel, the new controller will go on sale very soon, priced £1,299/€1,499/$1,499.
At the heart of the unit sits the mixer section, which packs a range of six different effects that can be 'stacked' on top of each other to create unique sound-shaping possibilities. Just hit the buttons to choose which FX are active, then apply them using the metal paddles – press one way to apply the FX momentarily, or the other to lock. The two jog wheels are equipped with torque control (high or low), and the MAG FOUR crossfader has a reverse switch, as well as front-panel controls for fast/slow contour and internal tension adjustment.
In terms of I/O you've got 2x XLR (mic) and 3x RCA phono in, Main and Booth outputs on XLRs, 1x master RCA phono out and twin 6.35mm and 3.5mm headphone jacks. The unit measures 674x345x124mm and weighs 10.68kg.
