The first of three Remix The Stars competitions opens today and will run for three weeks

Lee Foss's Repopulate Mars label have announced a series of three remix competitions which will take place over the next three months, under the banner 'Remix The Stars'. The six winners (two per contest) will then see their winning mixes released on the label as an EP later in the year.

The first competition opens today, and will run until 1 June. Entrants have a choice of two tracks to remix: Latmun's High and Detlef's Please, both big sellers for the label in 2019. All you need to do is click the link below and subscribe to the competition, whereupon you'll be sent an email giving details of where to download the parts and how to submit your remix.

Note that you can only submit one entry per competition, but rather helpfully there's a Replace Track feature – so if you upload a remix then decide you could do better, you can replace it with another one at any time up until the closing date.

The competition is being organised in association with music-sharing platform Hello Demo, and with aspiring producers around the world currently squirreled away at home, the timing seems very apt… so what are you waiting for?
