The gig will trail the release of a new single two weeks later
Icelandic electronica trio Samaris are to play a one-off live date at London's Jazz Cafe on 19 January.
Samaris, who consist of Þórður Kári Steinþórsson (programming), Áslaug Rún Magnúsdóttir (clarinet) and Jófríður Ákadóttir (voice), released their second album Black Lights earlier this year, and the London gig will be followed by the release of the album's opening track Wanted 2 Say as a single on 3 February.
Like much of Samaris's work, Wanted 2 Say takes its lyrics from 19th Century Icelandic poetry, and places them atop glacial electronica and skittery beats. As you can hear below...
