Tracks come from Frankyeffe, BEC, Wigbert, NEUMANN and more
Following the success of their first label compilation SUM, Pan-Pot's Second State label have announced a second volume, cunningly entitled SUM 2.
The album features a wide range of techno styles, and here's how they describe it:
"From the intensely euphoric compositions of Frankyeffe’s Obscurity and Farrago’s The World, The Flesh to Chris Hirose & HOURS’ Where The Mind Lives and Frazier’s Unknown Destination, the release fulfills the desire for deeper, emotionally charged sonics while Wigbert’s Balance, Marco Resmann’s Noococ and BEC’s Two Tones fill the need for heavier ventures under the strobe lights. Falling somewhere in the middle of the previous two sonic states are Roman Lindau’s Threat, Ed Ed & Petra Virikko’s Mon Desir and Philip Bader’s Expose, where infectious grooves and warehouse character conceive a pulse-pounding journey through shadowy club nights. Last but not least are two stunning tunes from a couple of masters that need no description other than their names: Tobi Neumann with his new, techno-focused alias NEUMANN delivering the mesmerising Chu and Arjun Vagale’s powerful Acid Test."
SUM 2 is out on Second State on 23 June. Before that, label bosses Pan-Pot will be headlining a Second State showcase during OFF Week in Barcelona, joined by special guest Nic Fanciulli plus Amelie Lens, BEC, Julia Govor, Roman Lindau, Stephan Hindz (live) and The Reason Y. That one goes down at FACT Club on 14 June.
