New US producer Senufo presents his first ever solo release

Every now and then, you get sent a release that just defies all logic. Described in the press release as “a psychedelic ride, rich in chaos with a rolling bassline,” this – Senufo's solo debut – lives up to that description and then some.

Fight Like A Robot starts with a kick and choppy hi-hat, but the aforementioned chaos very quickly ensues. Luckily for us it's a good kind of chaos, one which includes samples from a vintage arcade game, vocodered voices, risers, breakbeats and a "humanoid" sample. It uses sounds that just don't add up, yet the end result is a damn fine, floor-friendly piece of electronic music. Every time I play it, I hear something even more bonkers.

The only downside is the fact that it's only about four and a half minutes long, but I still wholeheartedly recommend that you give it a listen.
