Restaurant will specialise in BBQ food drawing on Troxler's own family recipes
Seth Troxler's love of fine food is well documented. He's a three-time winner of the DJ cook-off at Amsterdam Dance Event, and since 2013 Smokey Tails, the pop-up BBQ restaurant he runs with Jo Vidler of Wilderness festival and Jona Ahearne has made appearances at bars and festivals around the world. But now, Smokey Tails is getting a permanent home.
As of 22 April, you'll be able to experience dining Smokey Tails-style at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on London's Hoxton Square. They promise "rich, deep, home-styled BBQ flavours...dirty, delicious, finger-licking food that delves into Seth's three-generation-old family recipe book".
Announcing the new venture, Troxler said: "Music and food for me go hand in hand, they warm the body and soothe the soul. With Smokey Tails I wanted to give people the same food that fed my soul through my childhood. We really wanted to create a place where I could share the food and spirit of my home and the recipes of my family."
Prices start at £6 for brunch (for instance, smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs, bacon or smoked salmon), with mains (such as backyard belly ribs or whole smoked chicken) from £12 and up. For more info, hit up the Smokey Trails website.
