The label's first release will be the 'Hollow' EP by Argentinian producer Barem
Sidney Charles is launching a new record label called Heavy House Society. The label's first release will be Barem's Hollow EP, which is out on vinyl on 8 November, with a digital release to follow a week later.
Announcing the news, Charles said: “I’m launching the label as A&Ring has been a huge passion of mine for most of my career. I feel the time is right to evolve my take on the high-energy house sound that I love playing out when touring the globe, while also creating a strong collective of like-minded friends.”
Those friends clearly include Barem, AKA Mauricio Barembuem, whose work has previously appeared on labels such as M_nus and Sci+Tec, as well as Fun Records, the label he co-owns with Alexis Cabrera. The Hollow EP features three original tracks plus a remix from Djebali, while there are further Heavy House Society releases in the pipeline, we're told, from Bodeler and Josh Baker.
