HOT2DROP is Frampton's own label and 'So Good', out on Friday, is the label's first release

We've got a premiere-packed week ahead at iDJ, and we the ball rolling with the UK premiere of So Good. It's the first-ever single from UK producer Freddy Frampton's brand new HOT2DROP label, and will be out as a single (accompanied simply by a Radio Edit) on Friday (19 April).

Freddy Frampton has a long history in house music, although he did go away for a little while. He was a well-known face on the London DJ circuit in the 90s, holding down several residencies in the capital well as touring overseas, but disillusionment set in and he hung up his headphones for several years. But now, after getting re-bitten by the house bug and spending some time "dusting off the record collection, dabbling with early 1930s blues recordings and giving them a unique twist on today's current sound," he's back.

His recent remake of Ram Jam's 70s dancefloor anthem Black Betty for Wired proved a great success in the clubs, picking up support from the likes of Hot Since 82, Sasha, Danny Howard, Solardo, Danny Tenaglia and even Adam Beyer, and now he launches HOT2DROP with So Good, a nice chunky deep house groover with skanking, dubwise sensibilities and an, ahem, 'breathy' female vocal.
