Tracks come from label boss Ricky KK, Raffaello Bonaga, the brilliantly named Stoned Chicken and more

Here we have a 10-track compilation from Italian label HouseBeat Records, and it's an album that really does have 'something for everyone'. Or at least, anyone who appreciates various different deeper shades of house music.

For while 'deep house' would be a fair way to sum up the compilation as a whole, what's perhaps most impressive about it is the sheer musica variety on offer. The album opens with Adeepto's spacey, synth-y Cosmo Nata, which is followed by the atmospheric, piano-driven Sunflower by Lorenzo Ciampa and Mr ThruouT's drifty, late-night deep houser Dirty. Label owner Ricky KK (AKA Riccardo Lippi) then takes us into more garage-y territory with Unknown, which is followed by the chunkier, bassier Inside by Raffaello Bonaga & Too Much. After that we have three more tracks from Ricky - the haunting, eastern-sounding Funny, the slammin' tech-house of Kendo and the more prog-leaning Lovely. We're then played out by the classic deep house stylings of Stoned Chicken's Flute Vibe and Zowa's heads-down house groover Don't Hurt Me.

You may not have heard of most of the artists involved here but don't let that put you off, because the quality bar is set very high throughout and, as I said at the start, househeads of many stripes should find at least something to enjoy. As for personal faves, it's a toss-up for me between the garage-y goodness of Unknown and the sheer inventiveness of Funny, so it's a result for Ricky KK either way!
