2 Bit Thugs

France's S-sens Records and sister label Mhd Underground team up on this 11th installment in their compillation series

This 15-track compilation from French labels Mhd Underground and S-sens comes packed with house goodness in many different shades.

You may not recognise too many of the names on-board - this is strictly underground fare we're dealing with here, though label stalwart Mehdispoz should be familiar to most househeads by now. But there's no doubting the quality on offer. Tracks range from floataway deep grooves like Lawrence Lincoln's Deep Blue, to Tres Manos's Daft Punk-ish Your Game International Bitch, to peaktime house stompers such as Frankie Volo's Why No You, to tech-house workouts like the aforesaid Mehdispoz's Marimba Swing, to Rocketpunk's prog-tinged Aetherophobia, before ending on a more laidback, Balearic note with Tranquilo's Finalmente Danca, which evidences a strong jazz-fusion influence.

A great selection that those who like to dig a little deeper would be well advised to check.
