New from Zero-G comes Ethera, a vocal instrument/sample library for Kontakt users.

Ethera features three main instruments: Phrases, Pads and Legato. The Phrases section includes 45 patches in various styles, such as Soul, EDM, Operatic, Tribal and World. These can be mixed and combined, and using the two Off-Set controls you can change the starting points of the samples to personallse them further. The Pads section consists of oohs, aaahs and other voice-as-instrument sounds, while the Legato section lets you 'play’ the voice of Ethera in sustained or staccato modes and features Attack, Legato Speed, Release, Vibrato, Pan and Volume controls.

Whichever sounds you plump for, the instrument also contains a range of FX so you can customise them to you heart's content, including chorus, flanger, phaser, time-stretching, compressor, EQ, filters, convolution reverb and delay, as well as an amp/cabinet simulator.

In total there are over 2.5GB of 24-bit/48kHz compressed samples, which can be yours for £70... or if you buy before 10 May, for just £55! Do note, however, that you'll need the full version of Kontakt - the samples in Ethera are not compatible with the free Kontakt Player.
