Dutch producer Daamen returns to Josh Butler's label

If you're fiending for some trad-style deep house dancefloor bizniss this week, this collaborative EP from Dutch producer Camiel Daamen and his mysterious accomplice Arie is well worth checking.

Three tracks make up the Do What You Like EP. The title track is up first, opening with a fat n' squelchy bassline which is soon joined by twitchy top-end percussion and some nice garage-y keys, with dramatic synth sweeps around the two-minute mark introducing the diva-style vocal – at which point you've got four more minutes of groovy, bumpin' goodness still to come! Falling comes next and operates in not-dissimilar territory, foregrounding another warm, hefty b-line, keyboard flourishes and some luvverly pads, before Schwarzinator plays us out on a sllightly tuffer/techier note, but in a vaguely jazzy kinda way…

The A is my pick here but all three tracks are eminently playable – sterling work.
