elrow resident De La Swing serves up a three-tracker for the in-house label

Long-time elrow resident De la Swing brings his renowned production prowess to elrow Music's next release, a call to the dancefloor if ever I heard one with two mixes of the title track plus bonus cut Dihue.

The Enter The Rave Rework of Face To Face kicks off proceedings. It starts with a pronounced kick and shuffling hi-hat, then sprinkles in more percussion and adds a rolling bassline and a rap vocal as the main hook. There are lots of random sounds in play and it is indeed "a tech-house banger of a tune," as it says in the accompanying press release! Next up is the Shaf Huse Remix, which starts with a rolling drum pattern with accentuated electro drum hits, and builds with a vast array of percussive sounds and vocal chops which together make for a very floor-friendly tune indeed. There are shrill whistles and other odd sounds, and at high volume it's all very impressive and danceable. Then we have the second track, Dihue, which has a ethnic-sounding intro with bongos and crowd samples in the background, added to by a spacey pad sound. The main body features muted vocal chants and sci-fi sound effects, making for another sure-fire floorfiller.

My favourite is the Shaf Huse Remix of Face To Face, followed closely by Dihue. Both are pure dancefloor magic and will doubtless be hammered by many a DJ over the summer party season.
