Solid techno vibes all round, but head for '10 O'Clock Dub' first

For this reviewer, Klartraum's Lucidflow label is consistently responsible for some of the finest deep/dub/minimal techno around. This latest from Dub Taylor, AKA Tigerskin, doesn't disappoint.

There are three tracks to choose from. Opener Get Up Dub is actually quite pacey by Lucidflow standards, sitting right on the cusp of minimal and straight-up techno and sporting an energy-infusing "get up!" vocal loop. Lamma, which follows, is a dark, dank but still quite sumptuous techno cut built to keep dancefloors powering on through till the sun rises. The real treasure here though is closer Ten O'Clock Dub, which more typical of the label's output generally, owing as it does as much to actual Jamaican dub as it does to its Germanic technoid love child.

The first two are probably the best suited to dancefloor play, admittedly, but Ten O'Clock Dub is a proper late-night headnodder's delight. You pays your money and you makes your choice...
