The EP's out on 3 June on Beatport, and from 17 June on Traxsource
We have another exclusive track premiere for you today, as Moroccan producer Amine K unveils his latest creation Mayday. It's available in two mixes, both of which you can hear below from 3 June.
Amine K, real name Amine Akesbi, is arguably Morocco's leading house and techno DJ, often playing alongside the likes of M.A.N.D.Y, Gui Boratto and Lee Burridge. His Moroko Loco club brand (est. 2009) now regularly hosts parties at festivals and techno parades around the world, with guest spinners having included such luminaries as Nick Warren, Matthias Meyer, Martin Eyerer, Alex Niggemann and Satoshi Tomiie.
For this release, he's teamed up with Jean Claude Ades' Be Crazy label to deliver a two-track EP. The Original Mix of Mayday - apparently inspired by emerging from a 24-hour Berghain session and landing right in the middle of Berlin's May Day celebrations - comes from that place where house, techno and prog collide, and is a big, dramatic, sweeping affair, while the accompanying Arnold's Rave Mix is more overtly 'techno' yet manages at the same time to be a little lighter in overall tone.
But never mind what we think... you, of course, can make up your own mind about it!
Like that? Then catch Amine K in action alongside Jean Claude Ades at Be Crazy! @ Lio, Ibiza on 2 June
