This year's festival will be held on 25/26 July, with Erol Alkan and Fisher headlining
French techno festival Family Piknik will return to Montpellier on 25 July – and will still be there the next day, because 2020's ninth edition is the first to be held over two days.
The expansion follows a successful eighth edition in 2019 that attracted over 20,000 people. The new format will see live (electronic) acts dominating on the Saturday, and DJs taking centre stage on the Sunday.
Headlining this year's festival will be Erol Alkan and Australian tech-house producer Fisher. Other names listed on the Phase 1 line-up include France's Worakis Orchestra and Germany's Monolink, both of whom will play live on the Saturday, as well as Ukrainian faves Artbat and Italian duo Mathame (known for their releases on Tale Of Us's Afterlife and Tiefschwarz's Souvenir), but that is just Phase 1 line-up so there should be plenty more names to come.
If you fancy "un petit peu de ce-là" then tickets are available now, currently priced at €45 for a one-day pass or €70 for two days, from Family Piknik's own website.
