Family Piknik takes place in Montpelier, France on 7 and 8 August
French festival Family Piknik have confirmed that their 10th anniversary event will be going ahead on 7 & 8 August, albeit with some coronavirus-related precautions still in place, and today they announced the full line-up.
This year's festival will feature just one stage rather than the usual three, and capacity will be limited to 10,000 people. What's more, everyone attending will need to be able to prove that they have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and/or take a lateral flow test on arrival to prove that they are not carrying the virus.
Once through the gates of Montpelier's Grammont's Park, the Saturday line-up showcases deep and melodic house and techno sounds, with ARTBAT, Bedouin, Adana Twins, Monkey Safari, Kiko B2B Citizen Kain, Tom Pooks B2B Joy Kitikonti, Abstraal and Mood Gorning B2B Albanø. But on Sunday 8 August there's a much more techno-flavoured slant to proceedings, with Charlotte de Witte, Dennis Horvat, Pontias B2B Several Definitions, Bartok & Canadas and Cadillac Express B2B Hugo Cantarra.
Announcing the line-up, festival director Tom Pooks said: “Past months have been extremely stressful for us as we were waiting for French authorities’s green light and restrictions were uncertain till late. Now we are more confident and excited about the weekend… it will be a crazy edition for sure and that’s the best celebration we could ever imagine for our 10th birthday.”
Tickets are available now, priced €52.50 for a one-day ticket or €73 for a weekend pass.
