2 Bit Thugs

For the second of his UNITY charity releases, Ferry Corsten teams up with Spain's Borja Iglesias, AKA DIM3NSION

What we have here is the second UNITY release. UNITY is a philanthropic project created by Ferry and Paul Oakenfold, in association with VH1, to raise money to help re-establish music programmes in US schools .

For this release, Ferry has partnered up with Flashover artist DIM3NSION. The intro is a standard percussive one that gives way to to some vocal moans. A synth riff and more percussion arrive, and then we hit the interesting bit, the smooth, haunting vocal by Cara Melin. The press blurb says Ferry was sent the topline as a demo while working on his recent Blueprint remix album, and the pair came back to it to co-write this track, with its melancholic heartfelt vocal as the main hook. Together, the vocal and topline make up a formidable track which, if you're after a well-crafted vocal trance track, is well worth checking out - it should do well, especially with a Radio Edit also included.

With any Ferry production you know you're getting the real deal, and this fine piece of work with DIM3NSION is another example of why he has such enduring appeal. I for one will certainly be playing this track out, as I know that its emotive feel is sure to move a crowd.
