'Hurricane' trails their second long-player 'Polyphony', which is due in October
Fur Coat – the Barcelona-based Venezuelan duo of Israel Salazar and Sergio Muñoz – will release their second album Polyphony through Renaissance Records this October. The album is trailed by the single Hurricane, which is out today.
Muñoz says: "There's a more indie, electronic vibe to Hurricane. Because it's from the upcoming album, we had the scope to experiment more."
"It's still us, though," chips in Salazar. "I think it maintains the melodies and groovy elements that characterise our sound."
Hurricane is accompanied by two remixes. The first is a dubbier Club Mix from Fur Coat themselves – "if the original is more for the day, the clue's in the title with this mix!" they say. "We specifically produced it for the peak night-time floors". The second is a deep, melodic pass from Tim Green, who's known for his releases on Lost Miracle and All Day I Dream.
