Despite their long production CVs, the Money $ex Records bosses have had just two previous releases as a duo
Max Graef and Glenn Astro have signed their debut album The Yard Work Simulator to Ninja Tune.
Though the pair co-own the Money $ex Records label, they haven't until now released a huge amount of music together, generally working separately or with other people. But last year saw them collaborating on the Money $ex 01 EP on their own label, followed by the single Magic Johnson. The latter came on Ninja Tune, where they return for the 27 May release of their first 10-track long-player as a duo.
Expect glitchy minimal beats, twisted industrial funk, lo-fi hip-hop and atonal sonic experimentalism a-gogo... just the way Ninja Tune fans like it!
To promote the new album, the pair will be appearing at Dance Tunnel, London on 19 May, at Patterns, Brighton on 20 May and at Panorama Bar, Berlin on 28 May.
