Label boss Jamie Jones joins forces with Nicole Moudaber on a rock-solid two-tracker

Something of a meeting of the minds here, as UK house/tech-house DJ/producer Jamie Jones ropes in Mood Records boss Nicole Moudaber to help out on a two-tracker on Hot Creations.

With two big-name artists like that working together, you'd expect good results, and the Pepper Shake EP doesn't disappoint. The title track marries shuffling tech-house drums to a seriously hefty, almost rave-style bassline, then tops the lot with two different vocals: a looping female snip that may or may not be saying something about "my broken heart", and then a much bigger female vocal chunk in an Arabic/Indian style. It all adds up to a quite irresistible lil' rump-shaker, while the accompanying Bubble Ride leans a little more to the techno side with its cavernous walking bassline, panned stabs, vocal microsnips and sci-f FX.

A brace of very solid floormovers from a pair of producers who are currently at the top of their game.
