Spaces And Places will take place (and indeed space) at London's Roundhouse next November
Kerri Chandler is to play a special one-off live show at London's iconic Roundhouse venue next year that will see him mixing using reel-to-reel tapes while accompanied by vocalists in hologram form.
Entitled Spaces And Places, the event on 28 November will run from 4pm till 10pm and will see Chandler using four reel-to-reel tape machines to DJ, in a tribute to early house and garage pioneers like Frankie Knuckles and David Morales, who used to do just that. Meanwhile, some of the featured vocalists on his own production will also be in the house – as holograms, alongside projection-mapped visuals courtesy of some swanky new Panasonic technology.
This will be the first public performance of Kerri's new A/V show, although he did recently show off his reel-to-reel mixing chops on an RA Sessions video for Resident Advisor, which you can see below.
Tickets will go on sale in early November, priced £27.50 and £32.50.
