Fast-rising UK tech-house producer Kinnerman comes up with the goods for Kaluki Music

There's been a major buzz around this record, generated from just a few copies out there in clubland over the summer months, and it looks set to become one of the big tunes this autumn, the length and breadth of the UK and further afield.

As with a lot of great tracks, the formula behind Promised Land is dead simple. You take an emotive and recognisable vocal sample - in this case a speech by Martin Luther King. You add a catchy musical hook, get the drum programming sounding crisp and on-point, work on the arrangement somewhat and boom, there you have it - a future hit guaranteed!

Although this formula sounds simple, it most certainly is not, which is why everybody isn’t putting out killer tunes like this one every week. The sample's been used (some would say abused) many times in the past, the intro is a simple drum-led one and then in come the funky bassline, the rave organ sound and the vocal line, so it's a pretty standard arrangement as well. But for some reason this track just has the wow factor in spades.

There's only one mix of the track included in the release, but that's all you're gonna need. Make no mistake, this is a definite "miss at your peril" tune!
