As their new label launches, the Club 69 residents bring the rave-tinged techno grooves

In our Making Waves slot, we showcase DJ mixes by rising stars of the scene. Today it's the turn of Scottish duo Co-Accused, who are residents at Paisley's renowned Club 69, and who recently launched their own Co-Accused Records label

Name: Co-Accused

AKA: Raymond & Lindsay McMenemie

Age: Both 32

Location: Paisley, Scotland

Describe the music you make in 20 words or less: Sonic grooves from another galaxy that will have you dislocating hips on the dancefloor!

Five key influences: Laurent Garnier, Slam, Dave Clarke, Anthony Rother & The Hacker

What one artist/producer would you most like to work with, and why? Anthony Rother. We love his sound and watching him jam in his studio. It would be a dream come true to pull a chair up beside him and collaborate on a track together.

If people check out just ONE of your tracks, what should it be? Psychonaut Society

What else do iDJ readers need to know? For Making Waves we’ve put together a 30-minute mix of our own tunes, featuring all of the tracks from our debut release on Co-Accused Records, plus some unreleased bangers and collaborations with our pal Stephen Kirkwood, AKA Kunky.

And If you're ever in Scotland, be sure to check out Club 69. It's one of the hidden gems of the UK's underground scene, and we’re proud to be resident DJs there.

Co-Accused's Psychonaut Society EP (CR001) is out now on Co-Accused Records. You can also catch the duo in action at Scotland's Riverside Festival on 5 September.
