German producer Ralf Kurzhals makes his Luciflow debut

After releases on other German labels including Eintakt, Dreiton, Diametral and T-Bahn, Ralf Kurzhals comes to the mighty Lucidflow with a single-tracker here.

Floating Matter opens with a single bass stab that echoes and reverberates across a soundstage roughly the size of Greenland for a full 25 seconds before it's joined by a warm, muted kick and understated bassline, which in turn are followed by closed hi-hats and the delicate synth notes that serve by way of a melody. And, er, that's it: there's no big room drama here, no Pavlovian snare rolls, no extended breakdowns and certainly no singalonga chorus!

Just 5:46 of lavishly produced sonic lushness that'll suit lovers of deep/dub/minimal techno and deep house alike. Go seek.
