Klartraum's label drop some more uber-deep techno bizniss

Several recent Lucidflow releases have ploughed a more uptempo, dancefloor-oriented furrow than the ultra-deep, dubby minimalism we know and love 'em for. But not this one!

The Original Mix of Dub Of Aces, in fact, is as sparse and dubby as anything the label have put out. I'm not 100% convinced by the spoken male vocal ("If you were a hand of cards, you'd be a deck of aces" doesn't even make sense!), but thankfully label owners Klartraum are on hand to provide a remix that beefs up the beats while losing most of the vocal – the track is all the better when they're done.

Elsewhere on the EP, miqio is slow-moving, broody and drenched in atmospherics, while Tracks is the most uptempo cut of the four, with almost a prog/tech feel in places. All of which adds up to another very checkable release from the Berlin stable.
