Pioneer's latest baby is an all-singing, all-dancing multimedia beast!

New from Pioneer comes the DDJ-RZX, a four-channel, pro-level digital controller aimed at the DJ and VJ market alike.

The DDJ-RZX, which works with Pioneer's rekordbox DJ software plus the rekordbox video Plus Pack, features large CDJ-style jogwheels and three seven-inch touchscreens for monitoring video and applying visual FX. On the video front, there are a choice of 20 built-in Transition FX, plus Touch FX (controlled by using the touchscreens like a Kaoss Pad), Sound Colour FX, Beat FX, Release FX and Camera FX, which let you manipulate the live feed from a digital video camera - great for introducing live footage of the crowd into your VJ performance.

Drilling down into the specs a little more, there are four line- and two phono-level RCA inputs and two Mic inputs (1x XLR, 1x 1/4-inch jack). There are XLR and RCA master outputs, a booth out on a 1/4-inch jack and two heaphone outs (1/4-inch and 3.5mm) and two USB ports. Frequency response is the standard 20Hz-20kHz and the unit measures 945x120x547mm.

The DDJ-RZX will be available this month, with an RRP of €2,999. The video below will give you more idea of its capabilities; for further information see
