The percussive NSFW cut comes from the '4/4 #45' EP, which is out on Friday

Today's exclusive track premiere is an uncompromising, eyes-down tech-house slammer coming to you courtesy of 1980 Recordings. Skedar's This Shh is one of four cuts that make up the latest (45th!) installment in the label's long-running 4/4 EP series, which is out on Friday (20 March).

1980 Recordings should need no introduction to regular iDJ readers – they featured in our Label Of The Month slot back in April 2017. Back then, the 4/4 series was a mere 32 EPs old and the label set up by Dan McKie in 2007 was celebrating its 10th birthday.

Elsewhere on the 4/4 #45 EP, Gerva's Down throws tech-house, rave and disco tropes into the melting pot and has echoes, too, of mid-00s electrohouse, Matteblack's Only Fools is a dark, broody prog/melodic cut and Yuri Eleven's Peaktime is an aptly titled strutter that borrows chunks of the vocal from Fatboy Slim's Star 69. But the track we've got for you is This Ssh by Brazilian producer Skedar, a tuff 3am pounder with a spoken, sweary vocal.

Your Nan's not gonna be much of a fan of this one, but see what you think…
