The single is out tomorrow, trailing soon-come May comp 'Ideal Rules'

If you like it deep n' jazzy we've got a treat for you today, as iDJ brings you a first chance to hear Train by Damian Rausch. Taken from Mineral Records' forthcoming Ideal Rules compilation (May), it's out as a single tomorrow.

Mineral Records is a new offshoot of Roche Musique, and they describe the Ideal Rules compilation as “a dizzying, intricate cocktail fusing elements of jazz, minimal, lo-fi, melodic, futuristic and deep house". Artists featured on the album include Ariel Boi, Corbin Canvas, Paul Cut, Intr0beatz, IyaKo, Monolithic, Jehan, Slow Valley and Cerfeuil.

Plus, of course, Damian Rausch, a native of Giessen, Germany whose musical background includes a youth spent playing guitar in metal bands, before – in the past six years or so – discovering the joys of first hip-hop, then house and techno, and whose work has appeared on labels including Apparel Music, Gents & Dandy's, Whoyostro, Traumschallplatten and House Cooking Records.

His contribution to Ideal Rules is a jazzy, tech-tinged deep house groover called Train. See what you think…
