New dates follow the success of three REFRACTED:LIVE events in February
Sasha is to take his REFRACTED:LIVE show on the road once more, with the annoucement of three more dates that have been scheduled for December.
REFRACTED:LIVE is a two-part experience which debuted at London's Barbican in May last year. In the first half, Sasha and a small chamber orchestra performed his 2016 Scene Delete album in full, while the second half was given over to older material. That gig was intended as a one-off, but the response was so good that late last year Sasha announced three more dates for February, at London's Roundhouse and Manchester's Bridgewater Hall. And now he's announced three more, with REFRACTED:LIVE heading to Brixton 02 Academy, London on 14 December, Apollo 02 Academy, Manchester on 15 December and Barrowlands, Glasgow on 16 December.
An ever-evolving spectacle, the current REFRACTED:LIVE set-up consists of Sasha himself, an eight-piece string section and a cast of guest musicians including long-term collaborators Charlie May, Dennis White and Dave Gardner. We're also told that on this tour, they'll be performing new music written specifically for the show.
Sasha says: "Since the last live gigs at the Roundhouse and Bridgewater Hall, we have been busy in the studio writing new music for this next round of shows. Collectively, we have been so inspired by the fact we get to play our music live, it has pushed us creatively in a whole new direction. We have been working on new material that will fit into what to us is a whole new environment. It's so exciting that, after so many years on the road, I now have a whole new way of approaching music."
Tickets will be available this Friday (1 June) via the usual outlets.
