Russian producer Dimitry Meshcheryakov makes his Madhouse debut
Russian producer Dimitry Meshcheryakov serves up two quite different house cuts on this AA-sider for Kerri Chandler's long-running Madhouse Records imprint.
Dropping The Heat on the A is – some jaunty, jazzy keys aside – essentially quite a stripped n' sparse affair, with struttin' tech-house beats and a rap-style vocal underpinned by a dark, rumbling, almost speed garage-y bassline. Flip it over, though, and East Coast Moment on the AA ploughs a deeper, more laidback furrow, with more jazzy keyboard work, looping double bass, mournful sax parps and a spoken vocal with some guy talking about how "music is the most powerful sound there is".
Two very solid house cuts that should keep 'em moving nicely.
