Unum Festival takes place on the 'Albanian Riviera' on 3-7 June 2021
Albania's Unum Festival have announced that, after talks with the country's Ministry of Tourism & Environment and Ministry of Health, their 2021 event will be taking place as planned on 3-7 June.
Making its debut in 2019, Unum is sited on Rana e Hedhun beach, in the tourist town of Shengjin, on the stretch of coastline known as “the Albanian Riviera”. While 2020's festival obviously had to be called off, the organisers say they're confident things will be able to go ahead as (nearly) normal in 2021, partly because the Albanian government has approved the use of rapid Covid tests for everyone arriving and partly because national vaccination programmes should be well underway by then.
Accordingly, they've gone ahead and announced the first names for the festival, who include Ricardo Villalobos, Sonja Moonear, Margaret Dyas, Butch, Petre Inspirescu, Zip and Praslea. And we're told there are plenty more names to come – so watch this space, or keep an eye on Unum Festival's own website.
